A Word from Our Company President
Thank you for visiting our stores this past year. We look forward to having you join us during the Christmas season. Christmas is a special time for my family. My wife Joanna and our children Joshua, Heather, Mariah, and Jaimeson find that traditions have a lot of value in our home. Each year on Thanksgiving we put the Creche in our bay window. Every day we add either a person or an animal and read the story about the important role that they played in the birth of our Savior. Throughout the Christmas season our children "re-enact" the story over and over again. Seeing Christmas through the eyes of our children is a blessing and a memory I will always treasure. Take the time to create traditions and memories this year. God bless you and your family! Levi E King
Pajama Sale Saturday February 2, 2001
It's just around the corner...our annual pajama sale is on February 1, 2001. If you've never been to this event, it's unlike anything you've ever seen before. The doors open at 6:00am and the savings begin! Each store has it's own discounts and perks but the rule of wearing pajama's to this sale is a requirement. Anyone may shop during these hours but only those wearing pj's will get the discount. That means no sweats, etc unless you want to pay full price. See you at the PJ sale where everything in our stores is on sale. (Pajama's are available for sale at Sarah Davis Ltd just in case you forget yours.) This is the only storewide sale of the year for our shops. A great time to stock up on gifts for giving.

Our current themed music boxes include Gone with the Wind, Wizard of Oz, National Geographic Wildlife Series; limited editions, and Norman Rockwell.

Class Enrichment Programs at JoJo's Pretzels
JoJo's Pretzels has long been a favorite for all of our guests coming to Shipshewana. The one thing that always amazes me is the seriousness of our "Pretzel Connoisseurs". Some like 'em garlicky, some desire the whole wheat with JoJo's Sweet Mustard, or maybe it's just gotta be an original pretzel with our own cheddar cheese sauce and our Vanilla Coke...whatever your favorite combination is, you can be sure we are ready to serve it up just for you. JoJo's now offers one-hour tours to school groups. During this hour you will learn how pretzels were first made in Italy to help children remember to say their prayers. Each of the children then gets to make and eat their very own pretzels. This is a fun trip for all. Call for details. 219.768.7759
Our Summer Trip
We are not all about work! King Corporation consists of four retail stores and a Bed & Breakfast. Occasionally we do things for fun and give rewards for meeting our sales goals. This summer we had sales competition between all stores. The store employee's that showed the greatest increase in sales would win a first class night out to a "swanky" restaurant. Well, needless to say, our employees took the challenge with great gusto! We saw unexpected results in all four stores!!! Our winner was Kitchen Cupboard, our gourmet food store. Our manager Erma did a great job motivating her employees; be sure and congratulate her on your next trip to the Kitchen Cupboard. Because of the great job on behalf of all our employees and their hard work, we hired limousines and ventured out for a great evening. After a great meal and awarding engraved clocks to the Kitchen Cupboard employees, we headed back to Shipshewana and then home. What a great night out and so much fun getting dressed to the 9's with our employees...We are blessed to have such a great sales staff. The month of October has all of us walking for fun. Rewards are given to the person who walks the farthest, anyone who walks more than Joanna is, and anyone that walks 75 miles the month of October. We are getting fit and having a good time doing it too! Ask our employees if they are "sticking to the program".
